Woke up and jumped on a long and winding bus back the way I came, but this time, I did not get to stop at the overlook.
Temple 39 – Enkōji, was founded in 724, with a carved statue. This site has an eye washing well to help with eye sickness and is believed to have had a turtle with a red bell on its back arrived from the ocean.

Temple 40 – Kanjizaiji is right on the outskirts of town. Founded in 807. It is the furthest temple away from Temple 1 – Ryōzenji, where I started 2 weeks ago. The main hall was rebuilt in 1964.

Only forgot my walking stick once today. I am getting better.
