Traveling to Chiang Mai.

After a few days and tours in Bangkok, I found a bus that took me up to Chiang Mai. While waiting for the bus at the airport, the person I waited with told me that Chiang Mai was a better place to visit rather than Phuket.

So I booked a 10 hour bus ride up to Chiang Mai. I stayed at a place called All in One Guesthouse, right in the middle of everything.  I got there late and grabbed a taxi to the guesthouse.

In the morning, I woke up and walked around for a while. Where I found Wat Sri Suphan Silver Temple.

Built around 1500 and is built of silver, nickle, and aluminum.  The main hall is in active use, and only men can enter. The original building has not survived the whole time and has been rebuilt.

A monk at the temple blessed my prayer beads.

There is a silversmith school on the temple complex where they sell the stamped silver.
