After I took the gondola down, I had to decide on walking to the next temple or take buses. I could walk there faster, so I decided to do that, even though I had my full bag with me.
Most days, I try to leave my big bag at the hotel and only take a day pack with me, but these two temples were not near my next accommodation.
It said an hour and 45 minutes. I made it in 1 h 20 minutes. Most of it was downhill on roads no one drove.

Temple 67 – Daikōji was established in 822 by Kūkai at the request of Emperor Saga. It was administered by both Tendai and Shingon Sects, becoming a large center of learning. Again, most buildings were burnt down. The main hall was rebuilt in the early 1600s.
