I slept in for the first time this trip. 730am. Normally, I’m up between 130am and 530am.
After stopping off at Temple Chofukuji. I made my way to Nojima guest house. The couple who run it are great people.
Not knowing, I met the wife the day prior at the inner sanctum of temple 61 up in the mountains. She gave me directions and told me about a place to photograph.
I dropped my bag off and moved onto Temple 63 – Kichijōji, which was about a 25 minute walk.
There is a rock with a round hole in the middle, and it is said that if you walk with your eyes closed from the main temple while saying your wish, it will come true. I tried this at another temple on my previous trip and didn’t come close.

The next temple was about a 45-minute walk, with only a slight incline. Both of these were at the bottom of the mountains.

Temple 64 – Maegamiji, founded in 634, on the 20th of every month, the 3 Zaō Gongen statues are open for public viewing and it is believed that if one rubs a part of you body on it that the sickness will be healed (I missed it by 2 days. I wonder if they would let me rub my head and stomach on it? )

Some random pictures on my walk.
