Onto more temples

He drove us to Temple 56 Taisanji. Another temple on the outskirts of town.

Temple 57 Eifukuji. Each side of the main hall are copies of the “Buddhist feet rocks” from the temple in India where Shaka achieved enlightenment. 

We drove up to Temple 58 – Senyūji. This one was 250 meters high, built in the 7th century,  but fell into disuse it was restored by Kūkai.
