So I started from my hotel yesterday with ordering a cab. I had 4 temples to reach and only a certain amount of time to get to my next stay. It was a mixed bunk room.
So I grabbed a cab, which was a great idea with how high this one was. The cab took 5 minutes to get to the top.
Temple 31 – Chikurinji. I still had to climb to get from where I was dropped off.

I then found a bus that you paid once and could use all day, and showing my passport, I got it half off. This helped me get to 2 different temples.
Temple 32 – Zenjibuji. This one is up another hill. I walked this one.

I walked halfway to the next temple and jumped on that all day bus to get me a little closer earlier.
Temple 33 – Sekkeiji. This one was mostly flat area in the middle of a suburbs.

I then walked 2 hours to Temple 34 – Tanemaji. This one was about 8km from the last one and was in the middle of nowhere. I walked through mostly farmland and only slight hills, which was nice for a change.

From here on out, I walked to my next stay about an hour walk. I was not feeling well at the end of the walk and had to take some zophran to get me through the night.
Like I said, a mixed bunk room. Met with a woman from Germany, a woman from Quebec, a photography student from China, who studied in Tokyo and a Japanese man riding his motorcycle around the island.
I was worried about sharing a room with noise, but it was my best night sleep. Probably from not sleeping well the night before and a lot of walking that day in the sun. Haruno Guest House was the name of the place. It is close to Temple 35 – Kiyotakiji.
I did see a lot of wildlife, tons of koi fish in the river leading to my accommodation, and a bunch of cranes, eagles, and other birds.
