A lot of back tracking lately

Today was 2 mountains, or one and a hill. The 1st one was 200m, and the second was 500m.

Started off going back to temple 25, where my current hotel is, and I dropped off my big bag and started walking.

First up was Temple 26 – Kongōchōji.

It was a nice small temple. The climb was not too bad.

Next was Temple 27 – Kōnomineji.

This one from the base was 4.4 km up. I have to admit I wanted to quit during this one.  At the 2km mark, it said 35 minutes, and that was a lie. Although I made it up in the time I thought I would, it was so steep. I could smell brakes from cars on the road portion as they passed me. I almost took my zophran but kept on taking small breaks.

Finally, I made it to the top and had a great view.

I decided on this trip because I needed something difficult and something outside of my comfort zone. I needed to see where my limitations were and how far I could push past if needed. I was able to take my time and make it up this mountain, even if I was severely nauseous the whole time.

You sit on a throne of lies
