And another one

I started the day getting dropped off where I finished the last mountain. I had another one ahead of me. It was cold and rainy, and I had 2 ways to choose. I could try climbing the mountain 4km up in the weather below or take a gondola up at the end of a relatively flat 7km walk.

I chose the gondola rather than a wet mountain path. I think I made the right choice. At times, you could barely see 10 feet in front of you.

I made it to Temple 21 – Tairyūji. Still had some climbing to do to get to the top. It was a beautiful place up in the clouds.

Went down the gondola and was on my way to Temple 22 – Byōdōji. This one is small in the middle of town.

By this time, I was freezing and just wanted a hot shower and to lay down. I found my accommodation,  it is above a shop in town and rested the night. I have a few relatively easy days coming up, hopefully.  Temples are much further apart, so a lot of travel time.
