Traveling while sick

I am getting closer to my trip, but I have one more hurdle to get over.

I have gastroparesis.  Which means I can not digest food like I once could. So I can not eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, and meats. I need food to be broken down as much as possible. I need to eat easily digestible foods since my stomach is partially paralyzed.

For a trip like this one, which will take up to 2 months, traveling with medication is a process. I have to fill out Yunyu Kakunin-sho form, with type of medicine,  amount, and active ingredients.  I had to give when and where I would be entering the country and a doctor’s note explaining my illness.

Luckily, I have a great doctor who has helped me get my illness under control enough to attempt this trip and get me any and all things to provide the Ministry of Health.

I decided that I needed a spiritual journey, and I needed to try something difficult. I feel like I am regressing and might not be able to do a trip like this in the future. I hope I will be able to, but this may be my last big trip.

Hopefully, I will get my approval in the next few days and be off in 2 weeks for my adventure.

Thank you for following my adventure.
